our afternoon stroll was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, thank you to Carol and Simon and of course the star of the show, Socretes their donkey. 25 years old with a placid temperament Socretes was quite happy to allow Yanni (our power ranger) to have a photo opportunity in his saddle.
The walk started in the village of Fontana and led us past the churches of Estanramenos, Agios Jacob and onto the pretty church of Analipsi. Stopping at Bouneous for a well deserved drink we then continued through the village of Magazia passing numerous places of interest along the way including renovated olive press’ and traditional style Paxiot homes.

Lovely photos following every event, capturing the spirit of off-season Paxos. The black and white ones could be from another era… The organisers have worked so hard to make this event so enjoyable for participants who have appreciated all the planning ‘behind the scenes’. Thank you!
I’m glad you’re enjoying the photos and thank you for your ongoing support, it’s been fun and we have another week to go.
The black & white foto of (4th from last) is from a “working blacksmiths” in Magazia, still very much open every day for locals metalwork orders (Priceless!)
Thank you off season Paxos , it’s been fun .
