of home (family and friends aside) but the changing of the seasons is something I may have taken for granted, here we tend to go from summer to winter and back again. A trip to the mainland though brought back the memories of the golden red leaves and crispness of autumn days.
The weather has been incredibly mild and we decided to take off for a few days to enjoy some beautiful walks and water rafting for the first time! I booked it before I had the chance to chicken out and I am so glad I did, great fun in beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend http://www.trekking.gr/ our guide Nikos was friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the area whilst making you feel that you were in safe hands.
We stayed at Aristi Mountain resort, it is located under an hour away from Ionnina and is the perfect location to be able to explore the surrounding villages. The staff as always were hospitable, the rooms are beautiful and have stunning views and the food is fresh and seasonal, it’s our third visit and I would return again http://www.aristi.eu
